Key features
- Engineered Low Kickpoint — The low kickpoint is precisely calculated and positioned near the blade hosel to act as a spring-loading mechanism. During the shooting motion, the shaft flexes and stores kinetic energy at this low point, releasing it explosively at puck contact. This biomechanical advantage significantly increases release speed compared to mid-kickpoint designs, shaving critical milliseconds off shot delivery that can make the difference between a goal and a save.
- Rounded R-Geometry Shaft — CCM's proprietary R-geometry reshapes the traditional rectangular shaft into a rounded cross-section with concave side walls. This ergonomic innovation reduces the hard edges that traditionally cause hand fatigue over long shifts. The concave faces also increase the surface area in contact with your palm, improving grip consistency even with gloves and enhancing tactile feedback for superior puck handling and stickhandling control.
- Carbon-Fibreglass Composite Blade — The blade construction layers carbon fibre and fibreglass in a stiff composite matrix engineered for durability without sacrificing puck feel. Carbon fibre provides the lightweight rigidity needed for powerful shots, while fibreglass adds toughness and impact resistance against boards, skate blades, and aggressive blocking. The resulting stiff profile minimises blade torque during hard shots, ensuring the puck travels exactly where you aim it.
CCM Ribcor 94K Hockey Stick size guide
Two things decide your stick: flex (how stiff it is) and length. Flex follows your body weight, length follows your height.
How to measure
- Flex: choose roughly half your body weight in pounds (your weight in kg × 1.1). Lower flex is easier to bend and shoot with.
- Length: stand in your shoes with the stick upright, blade toe on the floor. It should reach between your chin and nose.
- Too long? It can be cut down at the top. Cutting a stick makes it a little stiffer (about 5 flex per 2 inches cut).
Stick flex & length chart
| Flex | Level | Your height | Your weight | Uncut length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 | Junior | 4'2"–5'0" (127–152 cm) | 18–36 kg | 50" |
| 40 | Junior | 4'8"–5'4" (142–163 cm) | 27–45 kg | 52" |
| 50 | Junior | 4'8"–5'4" (142–163 cm) | 36–54 kg | 54" |

| 65 | Intermediate | 5'2"–5'10" (157–178 cm) | 48–66 kg | 57" |
| 70 | Senior | 5'5"–6'2" (165–188 cm) | 50–68 kg | 60" |
| 75–77 | Senior | 5'5"–6'2" (165–188 cm) | 59–77 kg | 60" |
| 85–87 | Senior | 5'5"–6'2" (165–188 cm) | 68–86 kg | 60" |
| 95–102 | Senior | 5'8"+ (173+ cm) | 82+ kg | 60" |
- Beginners and kids: choose a lower flex — it is easier to lift the puck.
- Hand (Left / Right): hold a broom like a stick. If your right hand is lower on the handle, you shoot Left; if your left hand is lower, you shoot Right.

CCM Ribcor 94K Hockey Stick — frequently asked questions
What is the kickpoint on the CCM Ribcor 94K and why does it matter?
The CCM Ribcor 94K features an engineered low kickpoint, which means the maximum flex point of the shaft is positioned near the blade rather than in the middle of the stick. This allows the shaft to load and release energy faster during shots, resulting in a quicker puck release. It is especially beneficial for forwards who take snap shots, wrist shots, and one-timers where a rapid, short-motion release is critical.
Is the CCM Ribcor Trigger 94K suitable for beginner hockey players?
The Ribcor 94K is designed as a performance-oriented senior stick and is best suited for intermediate to advanced competitive players who can fully load and leverage the low kickpoint. Beginners may struggle to feel the full benefit of its technology, and a more forgiving entry-level stick might be a better starting point. However, ambitious beginners seeking a stick they can grow into will find it an excellent long-term investment.
What makes the blade on the CCM Ribcor 94K durable?
The blade on the Ribcor 94K is constructed from a carbon and fibreglass composite matrix in a stiff design. Carbon fibre provides lightweight rigidity and shot power, while fibreglass adds impact toughness to withstand hard hits from pucks, sticks, and boards. The stiff construction also minimises blade flex and torque during shots, which reduces the stress that commonly causes blade delamination or cracking over time.
What flex should I choose for the CCM Ribcor 94K?
As a general rule, choose a flex that is approximately half your body weight in kilograms. For example, a player weighing 80 kg should look at a 75–85 flex range. Forwards who specialise in quick-release shots often prefer going 5–10 flex points lower than this calculation to make loading the low kickpoint easier. Please refer to our size guide above for a detailed flex-to-weight recommendation chart.
Can the CCM Ribcor 94K be used on both ice and inline hockey surfaces?
The CCM Ribcor Trigger 94K is primarily engineered and optimised for ice hockey use. While the shaft will function on roller or inline surfaces, the blade is designed for ice, and using it on abrasive inline court surfaces will significantly accelerate blade wear and reduce its lifespan. T3 Sports India recommends purchasing a dedicated inline hockey blade or stick for non-ice play.
Where is the CCM Ribcor 94K developed and sold in India?
The CCM Ribcor Trigger 94K is available through T3 Sports India, the country's trusted hockey equipment retailer. T3 Sports India operates with a dedicated R&D and customer support team based in Bengaluru, ensuring products are curated and supported for Indian players and ice hockey conditions in the country.
Does the CCM Ribcor 94K come with a manufacturer warranty?
CCM products sold through authorised retailers like T3 Sports India are backed by CCM's standard manufacturing defect warranty. Warranty coverage typically applies to defects in materials and workmanship but does not cover normal wear and tear, blade damage from use, or stick breakage from excessive force. Please contact T3 Sports India's Bengaluru team directly for specific warranty claim assistance.
