Bauer Supreme M3 Hockey Gloves Junior

About the Bauer Supreme M3 Hockey Gloves Junior

Engineered for junior players competing in rink environments ranging from the ASICS Ice Rink in Bengaluru to international inline facilities, the Bauer Supreme M3 Junior Hockey Gloves are purpose-built around three structural priorities: shot accuracy, adaptive fit, and backhand protection. Shotboost Finger technology positions each finger segment to maintain optimal stick-shaft contact angle, directly supporting shot precision during wrist and snap releases. The Flex Connect Palm system allows players to dial in cuff tension without compromising palm sensitivity, a critical factor when hand size and grip strength are still developing. A pre-curved backhand chassis lined with HD inserts distributes block impacts across a broader surface area, reducing peak pressure on metacarpal bones. The contoured cuffroll reinforces the wrist transition zone while preserving the lateral mobility junior skaters need for deking and board play. Collectively, these design elements make the M3 a technically credible choice for players aged 8–14 seeking a glove that scales with their development.

Overview

Shotboost Finger System

Precision-engineered finger segments align each joint to the natural stick-holding position, maintaining consistent contact angle for improved shot accuracy and puck control during wrist shots and snap releases.

• Optimised finger angle for wrist and snap shots
• Segmented construction allows independent finger movement
• Maintains stick-shaft contact under fatigue
• Suitable for developing players refining shooting mechanics

HD Backhand Protection

A pre-curved backhand chassis fitted with high-density foam inserts distributes impact energy across the metacarpal zone, offering confident protection without restricting the lateral wrist mobility junior skaters require.

• Pre-curved chassis sits flush against the hand
• HD inserts reduce peak pressure on metacarpal bones
• Contoured cuffroll shields the wrist transition zone
• Flex Connect palm maintains responsiveness under contact

Key features

• Shotboost Fingers — Independently articulating finger segments are angled to match the natural stick-grip position, reducing micro-adjustments needed during shooting and passing sequences for junior players still building muscle memory.
• Flex Connect Palm — An adjustable palm closure system lets players or coaches fine-tune cuff tension and palm fit without tools, accommodating hand-growth variation common in the 8–14 age bracket across one full season.
• HD Insert Backhand — High-density foam inserts are moulded into the pre-curved backhand shell, spreading block and slash impacts across a wider surface area to reduce concentrated stress on developing metacarpal bones.
• Pre-Curved Chassis — A 15° pre-curved backhand profile mirrors the hand's natural resting position, eliminating the stiff break-in period that causes discomfort and poor stick control for junior players early in a season.
• Contoured Cuffroll — The anatomically shaped cuffroll reinforces the wrist–glove transition zone against edge impacts while preserving the lateral rotation range junior skaters need for deking, poke-checking, and board battles.
• Ventilation Channels — Internal airflow channels within the palm liner reduce moisture accumulation during extended ice time, particularly relevant in India's warmer ambient temperatures outside air-conditioned rink environments like Bengaluru.
• Junior Fit Architecture — The entire glove geometry is scaled from junior hand-proportion data, not simply a reduced senior pattern, ensuring the cuff-to-finger ratio provides proportionate protection and control for players aged 8–14.

Bauer Supreme M3 Hockey Gloves Junior size guide

Hockey gloves are sized in inches (8" to 15"). Most players choose by height and age — the chart below combines both, with hand length if you want to check.

How to measure

1. Hold your hand flat. Measure from the crease of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger.
2. Or simply use your height and age in the chart — that is how most players choose.
3. With the glove on, your fingertips should sit just short of the end of the fingers, and the cuff should reach close to your elbow pad.

Glove size chart

• This is the Junior model (10", 11", 12").
• Between two sizes? Choose the smaller one for better stick feel, or the larger one if you want more forearm coverage.
• There should be no gap between the glove cuff and your elbow pad.
• Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp (+91 91112 22274) with your measurements and we will confirm the right size before you order.

Bauer Supreme M3 Hockey Gloves Junior — frequently asked questions

What HECC certification means for the Bauer Supreme M3 Junior Gloves?

HECC (Hockey Equipment Certification Council) listing confirms the gloves have passed standardised impact-absorption and durability tests required for sanctioned junior ice hockey competition. For players in India participating in IIH-affiliated events or international tournaments, HECC-certified gear satisfies most equipment compliance requirements at junior level.

How do I determine the correct glove size for my child?

Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger on the dominant hand in millimetres. A measurement of 140–155 mm corresponds to a 9 in glove, 156–170 mm to a 10 in, and 171–185 mm to an 11 in. When between sizes, choose the larger option to accommodate liner use and growth over the season.

Do these gloves require a break-in period?

The pre-curved backhand chassis significantly reduces break-in time compared to flat-profile gloves. Most junior players report natural hand conformity within 3–5 ice sessions. The Flex Connect palm adjustment allows immediate fit customisation on day one without waiting for materials to soften through repeated use.

Are the Bauer Supreme M3 Junior Gloves suitable for inline hockey as well as ice hockey?

Yes. The glove's protection and fit architecture perform equivalently in inline hockey. Indian players using facilities without dedicated ice rinks will find the HD-insert backhand and Shotboost fingers equally functional on sport-court surfaces, where slash-impact patterns are similar to ice play.

How should I care for and clean the gloves to extend their lifespan?

After each session, open the cuff fully and allow the gloves to air-dry away from direct heat sources. Surface wipe the palm and backhand with a damp cloth. Do not machine-wash or submerge. Periodic application of a leather conditioner to the palm area, if applicable, prevents cracking in low-humidity rink environments.

What is the mobility rating of these gloves compared to senior models?

Junior glove architecture prioritises mobility-to-protection balance differently than senior models, reflecting the lower average shot velocity in junior play. The M3 Junior's segmented Shotboost fingers and pre-curved chassis yield high lateral wrist mobility and full finger articulation, making them well-suited for skill-development phases where handling repetitions are high.

Can the Flex Connect palm be adjusted without professional equipment fitting?

Yes. The Flex Connect system is designed for player-level adjustment at rinkside. Coaches or parents can modify cuff tension using the integrated closure mechanism in under 30 seconds without specialist tools, making it practical for teams managing multiple junior players with varied hand proportions at the ASICS Ice Rink in Bengaluru or travelling tournaments.
